The Wages Of Sin

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. -Romans 6:23 

Bought With A Price

Sin has a price–eternal separation from God. But Jesus paid that price on the cross when He died for all humankind. God set the price, and Jesus paid it. It was the Father’s gift to us. (John 3: 16) And although He died for everyone, not everyone will accept his offer. But we who do can experience righteousness here on earth and eternal life after death.

No Longer Slaves To Sin

We are slaves to whomever we yield our thoughts and actions to. As we allow sin to live in us, we become slaves to the evil–it controls us. However, when we yield ourselves to God, we become slaves to righteousness–allowing God to control us. Yet, Jesus said our adoption into the family of God changes our relationship from slaves to friends! (John 15:15)
